Ear Surgery (Otoplasty)

Ear surgery, known as "otoplasty" corrects prominent ears. This is very common procedure in children aged around 5–6 years in order to prevent exposing them to psychological distress from school yard criticism and taunting. It is also performed on teenagers and adults.

Otoplasty involves the surgeon pinning the patient's ears back closer to the head thus making them less prominent. This can be performed as a day surgery procedure.
