Male Breast Surgery
Gynaecomastia
Gynaecomastia is a condition characterised by excess breast tissue and is commonly seen in young and elderly men. It often causes extreme embarrassment, so people suffering from the condition avoid wearing certain clothes, and taking part in activities such as swimming. The causes of gynaecomastia are usually hormonal. However, they can also be related to weight fluctuation, medications or alcohol.
Treatment consists of liposuction to reduce the volume and fullness of the breasts. In some cases further surgical intervention such as breast reduction technique is used.
